How to make a Christmas card with AI

  1. Pick words or your photo

Start from a greeting, or add one photo of your family, friends or pet.

  2. Write your greeting

Choose Merry Christmas or write your own, add who it's for and who it's from, and pick a style.

  3. Generate and send

Your card is ready in under a minute. Check the names, then download it to print or share.

Tips for a card that comes out right

  • Keep the words short. A greeting, one line and a signature read best and are the least likely to come out wrong.
  • Check every name before you print. AI can still slip a letter; if it does, generate again.
  • For a photo card, use a clear, well-lit photo where every face can be seen. One photo, not a collage.
  • Choose HD when you plan to print. Standard is fine for sending on your phone.
  • Describe the picture in a few words, like "our dog in a Santa hat by the tree", rather than a long scene.

Questions about Christmas cards

Is the Christmas card generator free?

Yes, to start. New accounts get 3 free credits, which make three standard cards. After that, credits come in one-time packs with no subscription; a standard card costs 1 credit and an HD card 2.

Do the cards have a watermark?

Cards made with free credits carry a small watermark. Buying any credit pack removes it from your past and future images.

Can I use my own photo?

Yes. Choose "Use my photo", pick one clear photo with faces visible, and decide whether to keep it as it is or turn it into an illustration. Everyone in the photo should be OK with you using it.

Do you keep my photo?

No. Your photo is shrunk in your browser and sent once to make your card; we don't save it. To make the card it passes through our image service and the company that makes the model. The finished card is saved to your account like any image, and you can delete it.

Will the names be spelled right?

Usually, but not always. Keep the words short, check every name before you print, and generate again if a letter is off.

Can I print the card?

Yes. Choose HD for printing. Print words cards at 5 × 7 inches and photo cards at 6 × 8 inches, or trim them to fit your card stock. Square cards are made for sharing on phones.

Can I make cards for my business or customers?

Yes. Put your shop or company in "From", for example "From all of us at Crust & Co.", and a short thank-you in the message. The cards you make are yours to use.
