What MossImage Studio collects, who handles it, how long it is kept and how to delete your account

2026/10/23

Who runs this site

MossImage Studio (mossimage.studio) is run by an individual, not a company. In this policy "I" and "me" mean that operator, and "the site" means mossimage.studio.

The site is an independent, unofficial service built on the open-source MOSS-Image model. It is not affiliated with OpenMOSS.

What I collect

  • Account details. When you sign in with Google or GitHub, that provider sends me your email address, your name and your profile picture. I never see your Google or GitHub password.
  • Prompts and settings. The text prompt you write and the options you pick for each image, such as aspect ratio and quality.
  • Generated images. The images made from your prompts. The version you see and download is served from a public link with a random name. It is not listed anywhere, but anyone who has the link can open it. The original without the watermark is kept in private storage.
  • Credit records. Your credit balance and a log of the credits you were given, spent or got back.
  • Technical data. Your IP address, browser type and request details show up in server logs. I use them to run the site and to prevent abuse.
  • Support emails. Anything you send to the support address.

The site does not sell anything yet, so I do not collect payment details. Before credit packs go on sale, this policy will be updated to say who handles payments.

How I use it

  • To run your prompt, store the result and show it to you.
  • To keep track of your credits.
  • To keep the site working and safe, for example by letting each account run one image at a time, pausing an account for the rest of the day after its prompts are blocked by the safety filter five times, and blocking abuse.
  • To answer your emails.

I do not sell your personal data, I do not use it for advertising, and I do not use your prompts or generated images to train any model.

Who handles your data

These services process data on my behalf, and only for the purpose listed:

  • fal runs the MOSS-Image model. It receives your prompt and generation settings and returns the image. Its safety filter may block some results; blocked images are not stored.
  • Cloudflare hosts the site, stores generated images, and forwards email sent to the support address.
  • Neon hosts the database that holds accounts, credits and generation records.
  • Google and GitHub provide sign-in. They tell me who you are when you choose to sign in with them, and their own privacy policies apply to your use of them.

These providers run their services in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in.

How long I keep it

  • Your account details, prompts, generation records and credit records are kept until you delete your account.
  • Generated image files are kept until you ask me to delete them. Deleting your account does not remove them automatically.
  • Server logs are kept only as long as needed to run and protect the site.
  • Support emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.

Deleting your account and your data

You can delete your account yourself in Settings, under Security. Deleting it removes your account, your prompts, your generation records and your credit history from the database. To stop the free sign-up credit from being claimed again with the same account, a minimal record is kept after deletion: your normalized email address and the ID of the Google or GitHub account you signed up with, nothing else.

Your generated image files are not deleted automatically when you delete your account. To have them removed, email support@mossimage.studio from the address on your account, and please do it before you delete the account: once the account records are gone I can no longer tell which stored files were yours. I handle these requests within 30 days.

To ask for a copy of your data, or for something to be corrected or deleted, email support@mossimage.studio from the address on your account.

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses a session cookie to keep you signed in, plus small preference settings such as your theme. While you sign in, the prompt you wrote is held in your browser's session storage so it can be restored afterwards. See the Cookie Policy for details.

Children

The site is not meant for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has an account, email me and I will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, for example a new service that handles your data, I will say so here before it takes effect.
